Heute ist es angekommen... mein neues Schaetzchen Es ist eine Ibanez SZR 520 (Dark Honey Sunburst). Hab' am Samstag im MusicStore so einige Gitarren probegespielt, aber die hat mir definitiv am Besten zugesagt. Tolles Teil. Spielt sich nicht nur gut und hat 'nen geilen Sound- sieht auch noch supercool aus! \o/

Gestern Abend fand im E-Werk Koeln das Abschlusskonzert vom diesjaehrigen Rocklegends Adventure- und ich war eingeladen War mal wieder ein geniales Spektakel! Die Rocklegends-Band setzte sich dieses Jahr u. a. aus folgenden Stars zusammen: Steve Lukather, John Miles, Bobby Kimball, Carl Carlton, Leland Sklar, Herman Rarebell, Pete York, Ian Paice und Uwe Ochsenknecht. Die Teilnehmer vom RLA waren also definitiv zu beneiden, dass sie mit solchen Groessen der Musikgeschichte zusammen zu trainieren und dann beim Abschlusskonzert zusammen mit ihnen auf der Buehne stehen durften- und meiner Meinung nach sah man es ihnen auch an

Ich durfte auch dieses Jahr wieder mit meiner Kamera bewaffnet in der erste Reihe stehen (Danke Tommy und MNX!). Dabei sind sogar (zumindest meiner Meinung nach) wieder ein paar tolle Fotos entstanden. Hier mal ein paar meiner Favoriten die ich bis jetzt bearbeitet habe:

    

Nach dem Konzert gings dann noch zur Aftershow-Party ins Hard Rock Cafe Cologne, wo man dann noch mal mit den Stars (und Sternchen) gemuetlich ein Bier trinken konnte. Alles in allem mal wieder ein gelungener Abend- hat wirklich Spass gemacht!

Today I've been invited to join a press conference with Steve Lukather to take some photos as part of the Rock Legends Adventure 2008. It was a pretty cool event and I was able to take some nice (well...) "ok" shots. Even better, I was able to get a picture of him and I as well as a autograph "to Winni, thanks Steve" on one of the CDs of his new album. All in all really cool event.

Ich hab' mich mal wieder am Song "komponieren" (oder wie syn so schoen sagt: "klimpern") versucht und das hier ist bis jetzt dabei rausgekommen.

Auch wenn das Feedback bis jetzt durchweg recht schlecht war, gefaellts mir persoenlich eigentlich recht gut.

Sonntag gehts los- eine Woche Californien. Erst 4 Tage in San Jose und die restliche Zeit bis So. dann in San Mateo. Bin total gespannt wie es dort ist und freue mich schon meine Kollegen mal persoenlich kennen zu lernen. Das einzige was mir jetzt schon auf 'n Sack geht, sind die 14h Hinflug und die 12h Rueckflug

I've rearranged the whole thing a bit and added a lead voice to the song as well. Sounds more like the original now though it's still pretty bad The timing is not very good as well- but you know... it's all just for the fun

I was just jamming a bit (if one is already able to jam with just 3 month of guitar-experience and this is the result. Hearing this now, it reminds me very much of "Zombie" from "The Cranberries". Anyhow it was fun to play and so what?!

Today I was exercising with my guitar again, and coincidentally heard the song "Morning has broken" by Cat Stevens in my MP3 player. So I tried to play this song. I think I got it managed pretty well, so I wrote down the chords- maybe they are helpful for someone else as well. Let me know if s.th. is wrong.
