Although our team only made it for the 3rd place I think everyone will confirm: "We are the champion of the hearts". Here are two little videos I found as conclusion of 4 great weeks of soccer. IMHO this world cup was the best ever!

Everybody who has ever listened to Reinhold Beckmann, who is one of the expositors of the ARD during the World Cup 2006, will understand me - this guy is a big fucking pain in the ass! His knowledge of soccer is worse, his personal thoughts during the games are even more worse!

The danish tv station 'DR' has set up a "virtual replay" system (in shockwave) which let you reply all goals of the World Cup 2006.

Soccer fresco

I just saw, that one of the main sponsors of the World Cup 2006 (Adidas) has designed a 800 square meter large fresco and hung it at the ceiling of the cologne central train station.

It shows the 10 most famous soccer players of the world (Michael Ballack, Lukas Podolski, Juan Roman Riquelme, Lionel Messi, Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham, Raul and some more).

It's really a great piece of art. Find some pictures of it at my flickr:

There are not many words I need to say... 1:0 for Germany vs. Poland. Great game!
We've seen a german team that was attacking all over the 92 minutes.
Absolutelly deserved win!

Today the WM 2006 in Germany started and we celebrated it with a nice BBQ on the deck of our
office building. DVB-T receiver and beamer were present and we saw two great games. I am
currently uploading some pics - so have a look at the WM2006 set at my flickr account

Germany vs. Costa-Rica -> 4:2
Well, the two goals of Costa-Rica were not needfully, but the german team played a good game.
I am curious to watch the next games of our team! If they are going to play like they played today
(ok, we need to work at the defense, though) we have a really good chance to win all matches

Poland vs. Ecuador -> 0:2
Great match! Actually I bet 2:0 but while watching the game I quickly changed my mind as the
team of Ecuador made it a great match. Ok I lost my bet- but the win of the Ecuadorian team
was more than deserved.
