Tjo, da ist Weihnachten schon wieder vorbei- von mir aus koennte man ruhig noch einen Tag dranhaengen

Aber schoen wars. Hab' meine Familie und viele alte Freunde wiedergesehen. Viel gegessen, viel getrunken (*pfeif*), saemtliche alte und neue Cafes/Kneipen/etc. in Leer durchgeackert und viel Spass gehabt. Jetzt sitze ich schon wieder im Buero (im mom. allerdings noch in Ostfriesland - der Vorteil eines Homeoffice ) und arbeite so vor mich hin. Heute Abend gehts dann wieder nach good old Cologne.

Yeah, I am back... the party was great! I had lots of fun. Sadly I already had to leave at 10.30pm, as I had to catch my train back to cologne. The band was fantastic- I've never seen a violine player who is playing "Smoke on the water" before- impressive! The location was pretty cool as well. All in all a perfect event.

The trip back unfortunately wasn't that good. I took a taxi back to the Hannover central train station together with Mirko as we had the same train back. When we reached cologne at 2.10am I noticed that I had no cash, so went to cash machine to get some money for a taxi (the last subway runs at about 1.50am). Sadly I had to notice that my credit card seems to be broken- 3 different cash machines weren't able to read it So I had no money and Mirko already took a taxi home. So the only way to get back home was- you guessed it- by foot. One hour of walking and it was freezing outsite I finally reached my apartment at 3.05am where my bed was already waiting for me

Well... shit happens! Anyhow- I don't let such bad luck spoil the party for me - more luck next time?

I am currently sitting in the ICE on my way to hannover to join this years CeBit party of my company at the new townhall. The train is very crowded, but luckily I've got my reservation- so no problem... The UMTS/GRPS reception is a-ok in the ICE. It's not the fastest, but it's faster than in the normal IC and it's fast enought to check some mails and do some stuff that doesn't require high bandwidth.

I'm curious about the party and the people I'll meet there. Read more later...
